Both El Toro and Lompoc have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Lompoc's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a El Toro defense that got eight sacks against Villa Park in its previous game.
El Toro got a somewhat close 50 - 45 victory over Villa Park last week. Senior Cooper Jones had a wowing 452 passing yards passing yards in the victory. Jones should be a familiar name as he has been a major contributor for El Toro in the past 11 games. Senior Shane Mclaughlin banked an additional two TDs for the team.
As for Lompoc, it can now show off ten landslide victories after its most recent game. It had all the answers against Camarillo last week, winning 42 - 17. Senior Toa Taua continued his outstanding stretch of play as he rushed for 127 yards in the victory, marking his 11th consecutive game with over 100 yards rushing.
Their wins bumped El Toro to 7-4 and Lompoc to 11-0. Keep an eye on the score because it could get pretty high: both El Toro and Lompoc have scored a lot of points in their past games (three in a row for El Toro and three in a row for Lompoc).
