This week's championship games had everything we could ask for to end the Road Tour right. In fitting fashion, we saw the biggest upset of the tour when mighty De La Salle was defeated by the Canyon Cowboys, a public school team that began their season 1-2 and amazingly ended up with the DI title of California after their 27-13 victory over the Spartans. Juggernaut Orange Lutheran earned the DII title over Nor Cal's Palo Alto by 42-28, and Oaks Christian capped their undefeated season by barely edging major underdog Cardinal Newman, in overtime 27-20 to earn the DIII crown. All teams played their hearts out and gave everyone a show throughout the day. Southern California recorded a sweep by taking all 3 state titles on this historic day.
Chris and I worked hard all day and got everything on tape. Be sure to tune in this week to watch all the video highlights from Saturday's games at the Home Depot Center. Congratulations to all the teams who played. Everyone played the honorably and gave all in attendance a reminder of what makes high school football so special.
