If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for West Point. They will challenge Grenada on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. West Point don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
West Point might be getting used to good results now that the team has five wins in a row. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Olive Branch 34-33. Among those leading the charge for West Point was junior Brandon Harris, who rushed for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns. Harris has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Grenada, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They suffered a grim 21-55 defeat to Lafayette last Friday. Grenada were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-28.
West Point had enough points to win and then some against Grenada the last time the two teams met, taking their match 32-13. West Point's victory shoved Grenada out of the playoffs, so expect the team will have a target on their back in this one.
