captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 23-21 victory over Gaither (Tampa, Fla.)

The Cowboys pulled ahead on a passing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 14-10. The Raiders scored the winning points with a touchdown pass by Rodriguez to Chase that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Plant City still trailed by 11 points going into the fourth quarter. But 13 points in the fourth helped PC pull out the victory.
The result came as a big surprise as Gaither came in ranked No. 95 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Florida, while the Raiders were ranked No. 307.
Plant City's standout player in the win was Rodriguez. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
A 21-7 Plant City victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Gaither, which notched a 69-0 victory over Leto in its previous outing. The loss snapped GHS's 2-game winning streak.
