3A Region I District 8 recap September 4, 2013
Liberty Hill's Will Fromme rumbled for the longest rushing play in 3A Region I District 8 this season in his game against Giddings last week. Fromme's team fell to the Buffaloes as he sprinted for 61 yards on the play and finished with 162 in all.
Lampasas scaled the state rankings by moving to 507 from 691 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Badgers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Smithville 47-6.
Burnet's dynamic duo of Derek Kiser and Blayne Parisher proved tough for Fredericksburg to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kiser threw for 387 yards and 5 touchdowns and Parisher had 151 yards receiving. Cody Jones helped Burnet's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 126 yards.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Kiser and Parisher proved to be unstoppable against the Billies, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Parisher was the best wideout in the league this week as Burnet topped Fredericksburg.
Kiser put up the best numbers in passing as Kurt Jones' team bested Lance Moffett's team.
Fromme was the best running back in 3A Region I District 8 this week. Teammate Hunter Lindsay added to the ground attack by rushing for 60 yards.
He was 24-32 with 0 interceptions.
