Bellefonte (10-2) is set to face off against Selinsgrove (10-2) in a playoff match this Saturday at 1:00 PM. Bellefonte is currently on a three-game winning streak and looking to extend its dominance.
Last week, Bellefonte took on Greater Johnstown. The Bellefonte defense started things off right, holding Greater Johnstown to six points in the first half. That put Bellefonte at a 14 - 6 advantage. The offense followed things up on the other side of the ball by scoring 20 points in the second half. At the end of the day, Bellefonte walked away with a breezy 34 - 12 win.
Meanwhile, Selinsgrove has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling six) after its most recent game. It had a great defensive game last week, holding Shikellamy to zero points to set up the 34 - 0 win. The team got some fancy footwork on defense from senior Tony Dressler, who dodged the offensive line to pick up three sacks.
Both Selinsgrove and Bellefonte are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. We'll see which one when the teams meet up this week.
