Austin Dotson ran for two touchdowns and
Joby Berry added two as well as
Rhea County (Evensville, Tenn.) upset
White County (Sparta, Tenn.) 33-6 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Dotson in the first quarter, the Golden Eagles led 14-0 at the half.
Rhea County grew its lead to 26 points entering the fourth quarter. RC scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Berry.
White County's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for White County, who notched a 19-6 victory over Livingston Academy in its previous outing. The win brought Rhea County's winning streak to three games. The loss ended White County's two-game winning streak.
In a non-conference game next week Rhea County (3-0) takes on Walker Valley, and White County (2-1) will go up against DeKalb County also in a non-conference game.
