Both Kinder (6-5) and Rayville (8-4) have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday to determine who is worthy to move on. Both teams are strolling into their matchup after big wins in their previous games.
Last week, Kinder took on General Trass. Kinder got off to a good start with a 27-point offensive effort in the first half. That gave them a 27 - 6 advantage at the half. The defense contributed as well, holding General Trass to six points in the second half. At the end of the day, Kinder walked away with a breezy 40 - 12 win.
Meanwhile, Rayville can now show off five landslide victories after its most recent game. It blew past Delhi Charter last week 50 - 22. Rayville especially relied on freshman Jalon Qualls, who rushed for 164 yards and scored on one reception, and junior James Powell jr., who threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns.
Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Kinder and Rayville will really light up the scoreboard.
