BIG LAKE, Texas -
Reagan County (Big Lake, Texas) took an early lead against
Junction (Texas) and held on for a 19-12 victory on Saturday.
The Owls put up seven points in the opening frame. Reagan County scored on a rushing touchdown.
The Eagles pulled ahead on a rushing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 24-1. RC scored the winning points with a touchdown that came in the first quarter.
Junction saw its 23-point halftime lead decrease to 17 entering the fourth.
The loss comes after Junction defeated Bronte 37-20 last week.
In a non-conference game next week Reagan County (2-0) takes on Kermit, and Junction (1-1) will go up against Grape Creek also in a non-conference game.
