Greenback (Tenn.) snapped the five-game winning streak of
Tellico Plains (Tenn.), with a 28-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Cherokees were up 42--7 at the half.
Greenback entered the contest giving up 23.1 points per game this year.
The win was a nice bounce back for GHS, which lost to Grace Christian last week, 52-13. The loss comes after Tellico Plains defeated Harriman 33-14 last week.
Greenback (6-3) will play an A District 3 game against Midway next week, while Tellico Plains (6-3) will take on Meigs County also in an A District 3 game.
