King's Academy were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Sequoia 51-10. Followers of King's Academy probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
King's Academy's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 17 first-half points. Sequoia countered with 3 points, leaving the score at 17-3 going into the half. King's Academy put the game away in the third quarter with 27 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense.
No one put up better numbers for King's Academy than senior Bralyn Lux, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lux has been a consistent playmaker for King's Academy as this was the 7th good game in a row from him. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Zach Lewman, who racked up 12 tackles.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week King's Academy take on Burlingame at 7:30 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as King's Academy skips in on six wins and Burlingame on four. Sequoia will be staying on the road, facing off against San Mateo.
