On Friday, Ingraham narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Nathan Hale 17-14. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Ingraham's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 17 first-half points. Nathan Hale wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 17-8 heading into the break. Ingraham almost let the matchup get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it.
Ingraham will stay at home next week against Franklin at 7:00 PM. Franklin took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Ingraham's good fortune. Nathan Hale will look to defend their home turf against Evergreen at 7:00 PM. Evergreen are limping into the game on a seven-game losing streak.
