There's nothing like a new season to wipe away a difficult or disappointing one in the previous year. Expectations always are high coming into a new year, but for some Class 6A division teams in Texas high school football, the turnaround is noteworthy.
Top 10 dramatic Texas Class 6A football turnarounds
1. Round Rock Westwood (Austin) 3-1 Last year: 0-10
Coach Anthony Wood has his Warriors believing in a worst-to-first storyline in District 13-6A.

2. Naaman Forest (Garland) 3-2 Last year: 0-10
First order of business was breaking a 15-game losing streak. Two more wins followed including the Rangers' District 10-6A opener.
3. Harker Heights 4-1 Last year: 2-8
The Knights, cursed by injuries and inexperience last year, have already equaled last season's district win.
4. Rowe (McAllen) 4-0Last year: 3-6
Long-time assistant coach and first-year head coach Robert Flores is getting quick results, including a 1-0 start in District 30-6A.
5. Duncanville 4-0Last year: 3-7
In his second year in Panther land, head coach Reginald Samples is out to prove there is more to the District 7-6A title race than just Cedar Hill and DeSoto.
6. West Brook (Beaumont) 5-0Last year: 6-5
Only three offensive and three defensive starters returned from last year's playoff team, but the Bruins are leaning on a strong junior class to contend in District 12-6A
7. Midland 4-1Last year: 4-7
The Bulldogs' only defeat so far came at the hands of undefeated DeSoto by six points. Midland is 1-0 in District 2-6A.
8. Bowie (Arlington) 4-0Last year: 6-5
The Volunteers have been winning the close games so far by point margins of one, six, five and two, the latter at the expense of defending District 4-6A champion Martin (Arlington).
9. Humble Summer Creek (Houston) 3-0Last year: 4-6
The Bulldogs have posted their victories in style, outscoring opponents 130-62.
10. Ellison (Killeen) 5-0Last year: 6-4
Despite winning six games last year, Ellison went 2-4 in district play and failed to make the playoffs. The Eagles are 1-0 so far in District 8-6A.
