Hertford County were able to grind out a solid win over Currituck County on Friday, winning 21-14. The success made it back-to-back wins for Hertford County.
The match started off well for Hertford County, whose offense put up 21 first-half points. Meanwhile, Currituck County couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. Hertford County were outperformed in the second half 0-14 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
The victory bumped Hertford County's record up to 3-4. This is the second loss in a row for Currituck County and nudges their record down to 5-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Hertford County will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Pasquotank County. Unlike Hertford County, Pasquotank County will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Currituck County, they will face off against Bertie. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
