AAA Beach recap Oct. 30, 2012
Ocean Lakes extended the longest winning streak in AAA Beach this week by beating Landstown, 41-0. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Dolphins.
Bayside made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,471 from 1,617. The improvement came about via a 34-27 victory over Cox last week.
6-foot-2 quarterback Kwamane Bowens of Salem is the league leader in passing yards this season with 995. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Marlins' Taquan Mizzell has rushed for 953 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mizzell. The Bayside star has one catches for 185 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Kellam takes on Ocean Lakes. At the moment, the Knights are in fourth, while Chris Scott's team is in first.
The Sundevils led AAA Beach in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Tallwood.
