A relaxing day was this. I woke up at around 11am and went to lunch with the "Sideline Mafia." After the wonderful lunch, Mike and I headed back to the RV in order to find a place that we could do our laundry at, and plug in for a long shower. We look forward to this because it means that we can take as long of a shower as we want.
At around 7:30 pm we went down to a local sports bar to watch the Gaffney v. Byrnes game, and Game 7 of the NLCS. It turns out that the #2 team in the nation, Byrnes, lost bringing up a question in my mind. How important are rankings? How accurate can rankings be, especially in a sport that has 16,000 teams?
I know this is a short journal entry, but not much went on today besides: laundry, lunch, sports TV, and making a myspace page for our Road Tour. I also want to leave this journal open to those that would like to respond to the "rankings in high school football" question. Feel free to say anything you want about rankings, but remember that I am kind of biased towards our rankings, especially at the end of the year when all the data has been collected.
