Jefferson will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Roosevelt/Cleveland NJROTC at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Jefferson had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Bishop DuBourg/Hancock 51-6.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt/Cleveland NJROTC couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-44 punch to the gut against Troy-Buchanan last week. Roosevelt/Cleveland NJROTC were down by 14-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Jefferson's win lifted them to 1-0 while Roosevelt/Cleveland NJROTC's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Jefferson can add another positive mark to their record or if Roosevelt/Cleveland NJROTC can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Jefferson's step.
