Solano County recap September 24, 2013
Jomon Dotson of American Canyon ran for the longest rushing play in Solano County this season against Rancho Cotate last week. Dotson's team bested the Cougars as he sprinted for 82 yards on the play and finished with 187 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Benicia beat Armijo 49-0,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Fairfield's dynamic duo of Michael Arredondo and Eric Clark proved tough for Rodriguez to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Arredondo threw for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns and Clark had 69 yards receiving. Demetrus Spears helped Fairfield's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.
The Falcons' dynamic duo of Arredondo and Clark proved to be unstoppable against the Mustangs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Clark was the best receiver in the league this week as Fairfield beat Rodriguez.
Arredondo put up the best numbers in passing as David Fishleigh's team beat Berwyn Hutcherson's team.
Dotson was the most successful running back in Solano County this week. Teammate Derrick Hughes added to the ground attack by rushing for 20 yards.
Benicia's Jared Hanson-Regaldo and James Hyde-Jr. have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hanson-Regaldo has thrown for 651 yards this season, while Hyde-Jr., a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 22 catches for 319 yards. American Canyon's Dotson leads the league in rushing yards with 827.
The Falcons moved up to 661 from 757 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Fairfield was able to move up by besting the Mustangs 12-10.
