We already had our dose of Chicago Bear-country...now it was time to give Indianapolis its due. Indianapolis is the only city in the country that boasts multiple teams as part of the MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard. On Saturday evening, January 27th we visited Cathedral High School, in honor of the Fighting Irish football team.
Led by Offensive Coordinator Mic Roessler, the Fighting Irish took the court at halftime of the Boys varsity basketball game. A familiar face on MaxPreps, Chris Stonebreaker energized the crowd and announced Cathedral's national ranking of #28. SGT Major Bassett of the Indiana Army National Guard presented the trophy to Coach Roessler, who was accepting the honor on behalf of Head Coach Jim O'Hara.
Members of the Fighting Irish enthusiastically celebrated their recognition upon completion of the ceremony. In a state as athletically competitive as Indiana, Cathedral High School is truly deserving of the honor. Thank you again to everyone at the school for making this possible.
