Centennial were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Valley View 77-7. Followers of Centennial probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Centennial's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 63 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Valley View couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 63-0 heading into the break. The Centennial defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 7 and all but finishing the game. The victory bumped their record up to 5-0. The defeat dropped Valley View's record to 1-4.
In two weeks Centennial take on Santiago at 7:30 PM. Santiago will need to watch out since Centennial have now posted big point totals in their last five contests. Valley View will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Arlington at Ramona at 7:00 PM.
