Klahowya had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Kingston on Friday as they made off with a 49-16 win. Klahowya was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Klahowya's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 49 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Kingston couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 49-0 heading into the break. Klahowya were outperformed in the second half 0-16 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Klahowya will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against North Mason at 7:15 PM. Kingston are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Port Townsend next week at 7:00 PM.
