Inter-Valley recap October 8, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tuscarawas Central Catholic, who took down 466th ranked Ridgewood, 8-2.
Malvern extended the longest winning streak in Inter-Valley this week by beating Garaway, 42-34. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Sandy Valley's Lucas Dieffenbaugher and Nate Shepler have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Dieffenbaugher has thrown for 427 yards this season, while Shepler has 12 catches for 185 yards. Newcomerstown's Jibril Dansby leads the league in rushing yards with 889.
The Generals are currently in fifth, while Malvern is in first.
The Saints scaled the state rankings by moving to 461 from 515 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tuscarawas Central Catholic was able to move up by defeating Ridgewood 8-2.
