Bassfield's Timothy Arnold recorded the longest rushing play in 2A Region 7 this season in his game against Prentiss last week. Arnold's team bested the Bulldogs as he sprinted for 66 yards on the play and finished with 66 in all.
Bassfield took down Prentiss 58-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Calvin Moore threw for 81 yards in the win.
The Yellowjackets' dynamic duo of Moore and Kameron Williams proved tough for the Bulldogs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jimmie Funches helped Bassfield's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 40 yards.

Williams was the best receiver in the league this week as the Yellowjackets defeated the Bulldogs.
On the heels of Abram and Akins, East Marion has had great success on offense. Abram leads the league in passing with 244 yards, while Akins has rushed for 421 yards this season. Tops in the league in receving yards is Bassfield's Williams, with 139 yards on 7 catches.
Loyd Star made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,530 from 11,146. The improvement was the result of 64-14 victory over the Hornets last week.
