Remy Blue of Bishop Hendricken ran for the longest rushing play in Division I this season against South Kingstown last week. Blue scampered for 59 yards on the play and finished with 136 on the day as his team bested the Rebels.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Cranston East beat Tolman 55-27,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
ALEX CORVESE threw for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 10-16 with 0 interception.
Keon Wilson was the best wideout in the league this week as La Salle Academy fell to Portsmouth. Wilson racked up 5 receptions for 96 yards.
CORVESE put up the best numbers through the air as Cranston East topped the Tigers. CORVESE's favorite target this week was MARVEN BEAUVAIS, who caught 4 passes for 93 yards.
Matthew Sewall was the best running back in Division I this week. He ran for 167 yards on 16 carries as the Patriots fell to the Patriots. Teammate Travis O'Brien added to the ground attack by rushing for 96 yards.
Thomas Centore's team's CORVESE and BEAUVAIS have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. CORVESE has thrown for 958 yards this season, while BEAUVAIS, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 14 catches for 441 yards. Sewall from Portsmouth leads the league in rushing with 267 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Barrington and the Thunderbolts. The Eagles enters the contest ranked fifth in the state, while Cranston East ranks second.
The Thunderbolts' offense has scored 187 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Barrington has allowed only 19 on the year.
Cranston East was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. The Thunderbolts vanquished Tolman 55-27 earlier in the week.
