Rampart simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Coronado 42-7. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Rampart, who can brag about five blowout wins.
Rampart's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 42 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Coronado couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 42-0 heading into the break. Rampart were outperformed in the second half 0-7 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
The win (their 3rd in a row) raised Rampart's record to 6-2. Coronado are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
It's more conference action for Rampart and Coronado in their upcoming matches. Rampart will stay at home next week against Air Academy at 7:00 PM. Unlike Rampart, Air Academy will be limping in after taking a loss. Coronado will look to defend their home turf against Liberty at 6:00 PM. These teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses for Coronado and eight for Liberty.
