Although it led to only minor changes in the rankings this week, we're in the midst of playoff madness. That and more in this week's report.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It isn't too difficult to come out on top when you enjoy a 208-yard edge over your opponent, and Manzano had just that last week. It breezed past Rio Rancho with a final score of 40 - 14. No one had a larger role in the success than senior Xavier Ivey-saud, who brought his A game into the contest. He rushed for 205 yards and one touchdown. With five consecutive wins, Manzano boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.

The dubious honor of 'biggest faller' in the power rankings this week goes to Bayfield, who dropped down four spots after its game against Faith Christian. Bayfield lost to Faith Christian 21 - 13. The defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of senior Hayden Farmer and senior David Hawkins, though; the former finished up with 155 yards passing and one rushing touchdown, and the latter earned one touchdown and 60 yards rushing the ball.
No Stoppin 'Em
The match between Piedra Vista and Del Norte last week put some strain on the scoreboard; in fact, with a total of 90 final points, it was the highest scoring contest in the power rankings for the week. Piedra Vista enjoyed a cozy 55 - 35 win over Del Norte. Nevertheless, Piedra Vista did not have enough punch to impress the power rankings algorithm and slipped one spot in the rankings.
