Bishop Hartley and Tri-Valley face off this Friday at 7:30 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. Bishop Hartley is coming into the game hot, having won 11 in a row.
Bishop Hartley can now show off nine landslide victories after its most recent game. It had all the answers against Independence last week, winning 44 - 14. Two standouts for Bishop Hartley were senior Elijah Carter and senior Ben Dankow; the former rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown while the latter ran for 89 yards and also punched in one touchdown. Carter has now scored at least one TD in the past seven consecutive games. Senior Alexander Blackmon was another big-time player for Bishop Hartley. He tacked on three touchdowns to Bishop Hartley's score.
As for Tri-Valley, it battled it out with Bellefontaine last week for a well-earned 36 - 30 overtime win. The contest all came down to a rushing touchdown in the last minute of the game.
Their wins bumped Bishop Hartley and Tri-Valley up to an identical 11-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Tri-Valley and Bishop Hartley will really light up the scoreboard.
