Ogemaw Heights had a rough outing against Tawas Area last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Ogemaw Heights got past Grayling with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 26-20. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Ogemaw Heights as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Ogemaw Heights struggled in the first half and ended with zero points. Grayling couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for Ogemaw Heights put that tie to bed by coming up with 26 points in the second half to win the game. The win bumped their record up to 2-6. The defeat dropped Grayling's record to 3-6.
Ogemaw Heights will stay at home next week against Houghton Lake at 7:00 PM. Houghton Lake took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Ogemaw Heights's good fortune. Grayling will look to defend their home turf against Glen Lake at 7:00 PM.
