This week, Arlington and Oak Harbor square off against each other on Friday at 7:00 PM. Arlington has seen its point totals steadily rise over the past three games, a trend the team will no doubt hope to continue.
Arlington came out on top in a nail-biter against Stanwood last week, sneaking past 22 - 20.
Meanwhile, the result of Oak Harbor's last game was disheartening but, based on state rankings, not too surprising. It received a tough blow last week as it fell 35 - 18 to Ferndale. The team got a solid performance out of senior running back Princeton Lollar jr. (he ran for 182 yards and punched in one touchdown); unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Lollar jr. has now scored at least one TD in the past seven consecutive games.
Oak Harbor's loss dropped it to 5-2 while Arlington's win brought it to 3-4. Can Arlington pick up its first back-to-back wins of the season, or will Oak Harbor prove too much? We'll see soon enough.
