Ridgewood had a rough outing against Paramus last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Ridgewood put the hurt on Clifton with a sharp 38-14 win. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Ridgewood, who can brag about three blowout wins.
Ridgewood got off to a slow start in their match last week, but they had no such trouble against Clifton as they cruised to a 24-point first half. Clifton countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 24-7 going into the half. Ridgewood put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Ridgewood take on Kennedy at 1:00 PM. Unlike Ridgewood, Kennedy will be limping in after taking a loss. Clifton will take on Bergen Tech at home at 7:00 PM. Bergen Tech are limping into the matchup on a seven-game losing streak.
