SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - the Chiefs had a big 19-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 35-6 victory over
Waynesville (Mo.).
Kickapoo scored on a touchdown pass by
Anthony Cooper to
Jamariqune Green, a touchdown run by
John Fuchs and a
Kelton Reeves touchdown run in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Cooper to Green in the first quarter, KHS was up 29-6 at the half.
The Springfield school grew its lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. The Chiefs' lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown.
Waynesville's lone touchdown came on a 3-yard run in the second quarter.
Kickapoo also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 20-10.
The win brought Kickapoo's winning streak to three games. The loss was the third in a row for the Tigers.
In a Ozarks game next week Kickapoo (3-0) takes on Camdenton, and Waynesville (0-3) will go up against Parkview also in a Ozarks game.
