Coffeeville extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 1 this week by beating Coldwater, 46-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
The Cougars fell to Coffeeville 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Biggersville's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jaylon Gaines threw for 94 and 1 touchdown and Darian Barnett had 76 yards receiving. On the ground Bradley Davis contributed 139 yards. Tyran Davis helped Biggersville's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.
Davis was a passing and rushing force as the Lions beat Vardaman. Davis' key target this week was Barnett, who caught 4 passes for 76 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Ronnie Lawson's team's Caleb Kitchens and Barnett have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-8 quarterback Kitchens has thrown for 1,271 yards this season, while Barnett has 28 catches for 654 yards. Jerarnie Lawrence from Falkner leads the league in rushing with 682 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Lions' Barnett goes up against the Eagles' Richard Green.
Next week's game between Biggersville and Falkner will feature a good passing match up as Kitchens will test his arm against Green's defensive ability.
One of 1A Region 1's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Lions and Cory Armstrong's team face off next week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Smithville takes on Johnny Jackson's team. The Seminoles are in first place, while the Pirates are in fourth place.
Coldwater made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,482 from 12,881. The improvement was the result of a 46-0 victory over Antwoine Wellington's team last week.
