Travis Carnahan and Nate Meduna provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Logan View. The longest such play in C1 District 3 this season, the connection resulted in 72 yards.
Ashland-Greenwood extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Raymond Central, 30-23. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Bishop Neumann's dynamic duo of Carnahan and Meduna proved tough for the Raiders to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Carnahan threw for 234 yards and 4 touchdowns and Meduna had 98 yards receiving. Cole Prohaska helped Bishop Neumann's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 54 yards.
Raymond Central's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ben Lodema has thrown for 969 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Sam Isaacson has 29 catches for 520 yards.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Mustangs and Wahoo face off next week.
An important game coming up in C1 District 3 this week will be when Ashland-Greenwood takes on the Cavaliers. Ryan Thompson's team is in first place, while Bishop Neumann is in fourth place.
The Warriors lost to Norfolk Catholic 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ethan Stratman ran for 81 yards in the defeat.
