Archie Miller was hired at Indiana in late March but didn't land his first commitment until Sunday.
It took significantly less time for the former Dayton head coach to secure a second pledge – and then a third.
In a 24-hour span that no doubt has expectations on the rise in Hoosierland, Miller secured commitments from Top 100 prospects Race Thompson
, Damezi Anderson
and Jerome Hunter
Thompson, a 6-foot-8 forward from Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, Minn.)
, was the first to pop on Sunday. According to the Indianapolis Star
, he is expected to jump from the Class of 2018 to 2017 and enroll this fall.
The Minnesota product is regarded as the No. 86 overall prospect in the 2018 class by 247Sports
Next was Hunter, a 6-7 All-State honorable mention pick from of Pickerington North (Pickerington, Ohio)
. 247Sports has him pegged as the No. 60 prospect in the Class of 2018.
Last up was in-state product Anderson of Riley (South Bend, Ind.)
, the No. 91 prospect in the rising senior class. The 6-6 swingman averaged 24.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game as a junior for the 19-3 Wildcats.
Miller is entering his first year as head coach of the Hoosiers hoping to stabilize an up-and-down trend under Tom Crean. Indiana won the Big Ten regular season title twice in the last five years but missed the NCAA Tournament five times in nine seasons under Crean.
