No Stoppin 'Em
St. John Bosco has been an offensive powerhouse for seven straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. Everything went its way against Orange Lutheran as it secured a 63 - 28 win. St. John Bosco did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps national rankings indicated. The combined 91 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
It was a battle of top-notch squads when JSerra Catholic (3rd in the power rankings) took on Servite (12th) last week. JSerra Catholic picked up a decisive 'W' against Servite, finishing up at 49 - 6. Senior Caden Bell deserves a lot of the credit as he threw for 266 yards and five touchdowns.
Movin on Up
Grace Brethren managed to bank 242 more yards than its opponent Moorpark last week, and going the extra distance paid off. Grace Brethren breezed past Moorpark with a final score of 37 - 9. One major factor in the win was the play of senior Lontrelle Diggs, who earned three touchdowns and 184 yards rushing the ball. Grace Brethren's success was rewarded with a ten-spot boost in the power rankings, the biggest improvement of any team.
