Legacy may have come out ahead in its last game, but it shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. It is set to face off against Grandview in a playoff match this Friday at 7:30 PM. Grandview is skipping in on a seven-game winning streak; likewise, Legacy rolls in with four consecutive wins.
Legacy blew past Westminster last week 44 - 13. No one had a larger role in the success than junior quarterback Alec Lewis, who brought his A game into the contest. He threw for 192 yards. Lewis has been a consistent playmaker for Legacy as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
As for Grandview, it took its its last contest against Overland by a conclusive 49 - 19 score. Senior running back Hayden Blubaugh deserves a lot of the credit as he split the defense to the tune of 239 yards. This marked the 4th consecutive game in which Blubaugh had 100+ rushing yards.
Their wins bumped Grandview to 9-1 and Legacy to 8-2. Both Grandview and Legacy are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. We'll see which when the teams meet up this week.
