Riley County, but it still walked away with a 26 - 21 win.
Senior Tyler Halstead and junior Mikey Waggoner were two go-getters for Riley County even though the team lost; Halstead ran for 131 yards and also punched in one touchdown while Waggoner earned one touchdown and 173 yards rushing the ball.
Riley County's record fell to 7-2 after the loss. The win got Marysville up to 9-1. It has now emerged victorious in its last six consecutive games.
The Marysville squad is hoping to improve its record as its season nears the close.
