Kennedy moved up to 234 from 272 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Big North - Freedom. The Knights climbed the ranks as a result of a 28-20 win over Clifton.
Kennedy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,719 from 10,068. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-20 victory over the Mustangs last week.
Passaic's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Naiam Reed threw for 159 and one touchdown and Marquise Stephens had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Dennis Morris chipped in 75 yards. Davon Stowe helped Passaic's passing attack out by catching four balls for 36 yards.
The Indians' Reed and Stowe have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Reed has thrown for 395 yards this season, while Stowe has nine catches for 199 yards. Jack Foresman from Ridgewood leads the league in rushing with 296 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Maroons take on Passaic. Ridgewood's offense has scored 86 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Phil Delzotto's team has allowed only 144 on the year.
A big matchup in Big North - Freedom this week will be when Ron Jackson's team takes on Hackensack. The Knights are currently in first, while the Comets are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Charles Johnson's team and the Indians face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Maroons comes in having scored 86 this season, while Passaic has scored 55. Ridgewood scored 10 points last week as it fell to Paramus Catholic.
Kennedy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on Clifton.
