Dysart took their match against Washington on Friday by a conclusive 56-22 score. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Dysart as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Dysart's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 28 first-half points. Washington wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 16 to make it 28-16 heading into the break. Dysart put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. Finally capturing their first win of the season, they advanced to 1-7. Washington are on a four-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 2-6.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Dysart will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Cortez. Cortez are limping into the matchup on a eight-game losing streak. As for Washington, they will face off against Combs. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
