In this week's power rankings, we saw one team go soaring up and another team come crashing down, along with everything in between. A special shoutout goes to Bellevue's senior Isaiah Ifanse, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Banging Down the Door
Archbishop Murphy has been an offensive powerhouse for six straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. The final score between it and Lakewood was a 43 - 7 blowout in Archbishop Murphy's favor. Archbishop Murphy gave the Lakewood offensive line some real trouble with nine sacks (and will no doubt be looking to keep the pressure on River Ridge this Friday). Thanks to its success, Archbishop Murphy cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 23rd spot.
Have a Day
Bellevue got a 51 - 20 win over Hudson's Bay last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Isaiah Ifanse. Ifanse ran for 240 yards and also punched in six touchdowns. That performance made Ifanse one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 84-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Monroe beat Mount Si 44 - 40. Nevertheless, Monroe did not have enough punch to impress the power rankings algorithm and slipped four spots in the rankings.
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Central Valley (9th in the power rankings) and Camas (5th). Both teams have their heads held high after landslide victories against their previous opponents. Camas and Central Valley both have plenty of landslide victories under their belts (Camas with six and Central Valley with five), but only one can come away triumphant this week. We'll find out who that is soon.
