The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Roswell (11-0) takes on Peachtree Ridge (6-5) in the first playoff game of the year. Roswell is still undefeated for the season.
Roswell went up against Pebblebrook last week. Roswell's defense put the team in a good position heading into the break, holding Pebblebrook to a measly zero points. That put Roswell at a 17 - 0 advantage. The offense wasn't without success either, scoring 28 points in the second half. In the end, Roswell steamrollered its way to an easy 45 - 7 victory.
As for Peachtree Ridge, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, it beat Archer 28 - 23 last week. Peachtree Ridge received a great game from junior quarterback Fred Payton, who passed for 319 yards. Payton has been a consistent playmaker for Peachtree Ridge as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
We'll find out which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when Roswell and Peachtree Ridge clash.
