Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Albany should expect quite the challenge on Saturday. They take on Shenendehowa at 1:00 PM. Albany come in off of seven low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for Albany, and their matchup last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 0-23 walloping at Bethlehem Central's hands. If you felt some intense deja vu just there, it's no doubt because Albany and Bethlehem Central finished with that exact same score the last time they met.
Meanwhile, Shenendehowa put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They steamrollered Christian Brothers Academy 53-7. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-7.
Albany took a serious blow against Shenendehowa the last time the two teams met, falling 0-56. Maybe Albany will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back on MaxPreps for all the details.
