After a 48-hour period of seismic recruiting activity, there's a new No. 1 team overall in the team recruiting rankings.
After landing three highly-regarded linemen yesterday, USC surges to the No. 1 overall spot.
The Trojans landed offensive linemen
and Khaliel Rodgers
and secured a commitment from Top 100 defensive lineman Eddie Vanderdoes
late on Wednesday night.Reuben Foster
's switch from Alabama to Auburn enabled the Trojans to ascend to the top spot despite having only 14 commitments. Remarkably, eight of those 14 are ranked in the Top 100, suggesting Lane Kiffin has done a tremendous job maximizing the program's limited number of scholarships.
Given that several of the Trojans' recruits may enroll early, USC should have flexibilty to add a few more recruits, though it has already landed most of the blue-chip players it has targeted.
With the commitment of Foster, Auburn jumps to No. 10. Texas, which has endured several decommitments in recent weeks, is now No. 4. Notre Dame, which landed Alex Anzalone
over the weekend, jumps up to No. 7.
