MONTROSE, Colo. - the Indians scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 49-6 victory over Hinkley (Aurora, Colo.) on Saturday.
Montrose rushed for four touchdowns on the ground during the quarter, including two by
Mike Rocha.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Rocha in the first quarter, MHS led 35-6 at the half.
The Indians expanded their lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. Montrose scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Nick Foster.
With the win MHS extended its winning streak to five games. Montrose defeated Pueblo West 23-14 last week.
Hinkley's only touchdown came on a 99-yard kick return by Quasean Smith in the second quarter.
