Liberty Christian (Argyle, Texas) took the lead for good when they threw a touchdown with 10:00 left in the second quarter and held on to beat
St. Michael's (Austin, Texas) 48-34 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the second quarter, the Warriors led 35-17 at the half.
Liberty Christian saw its 18-point halftime lead decrease to 17 entering the fourth.
The loss snapped St. Michael's' six-game winning streak.
The loss comes after St. Michael's defeated John Paul II 45-38 last week. With the win LC extended its winning streak to three games.
