Howe (0-6) and Van Alstyne (4-2) take on one another this Friday at 7:30 PM on Howe's home turf. Howe is still chasing that elusive W after another rough time last week.
Howe went up against Pottsboro last week. Howe's defense took a beating in the first half, giving up 28 points. That put it down 28 - 0. The offense wasn't without blame, either, as it totaled six points in the second half. The final was a 35 - 6 defeat for Howe.
As for Van Alstyne, it was so close, but it found itself on the wrong side of the 28 - 27 game against Whitesboro last week. The defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Rhett Gallagher, who threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns. Gallagher also tagged on a 35-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter.
We'll find out which team manages to turn its luck around when they battle it out this week.
