Northland Pines were out to avenge their 32-46 defeat to Hurley from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Northland Pines found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 27-49 punch to the gut against Hurley on Friday. The state rankings had actually given Northland Pines a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Northland Pines' record to 3-2. The victory bumped Hurley's record up to 3-2.
Next week Northland Pines take on Ashland at 7:00 PM. Hurley will stay at home against Elcho/White Lake at 7:00 PM. Hurley have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Elcho/White Lake might have their hands full.
