5A District 10 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Palmetto extended the longest winning streak in 5A District 10 this week by beating DeSoto County, 9-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
The Bulldogs moved up to 128 from 210 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. DeSoto County was able to make the jump by beating DeSoto County 9-7.
Southeast's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Myles Braxton-Johnson threw for 188 and two touchdowns and Jacob Sannon had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Courtney Allen chipped in 95 yards. Antonio Ray helped Southeast's passing attack out by catching six balls for 45 yards.
Southeast's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Seminoles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Braxton-Johnson has thrown for 551 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Sannon has 13 catches for 223 yards. Allen leads the league in rushing with 544 yards.
Hardee took down Bayshore 28-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
