MONTICELLO, Ark. - A 27-point lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter didn't slow down
Hamburg (Ark.) as it put eight more points on the scoreboard to secure its victory over Monticello (Ark.) 35-0.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Lions were up 14-0 at the half.
Hamburg expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Lions came away with a 31-7 victory.
The win brought Hamburg's winning streak to three games.
Monticello (0-5) will play a 4A Region 8 game against Lakeside next week, while Hamburg (4-1) will take on Star City also in a 4A Region 8 game.
