Clark/Willow Lake won the last time they met up with Webster, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Clark/Willow Lake skirted past Webster 31-28. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Webster got a solid performance out of junior Braden Holland, who rushed for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Kade Gaikowski, who racked up 11 tackles.
The win bumped Clark/Willow Lake's record up to 6-1. The loss dropped Webster's record to 4-2.
Clark/Willow Lake will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Hamlin in two weeks at 7:00 PM. These two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents. Webster will stay at home next week against Florence/Henry at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
